Our Weekend

Well, despite being bummed about missing a really awesome, fun weekend with a bunch of friends, I tried to make the best of my weekend at home. Friday we hung out at home and played with Tyler. Saturday night we went to a benefit dinner/dance with some friends. While it wasn't as fun as being with other friends, we had a good time. Sunday the weather was so nice that we just couldn't stay inside. We took Tyler for a walk on the golf course and let him ride his bike. He was so excited to be outside playing. And every time that an airplane flew overhead, he just screamed and laughed and pointed at it while yelling "airplane!" Then when it was out of sight he asked us for "more airplane" and really expected that we could just make that happen!

I hope that everyone had fun in Virginia!

Full day of fun!

Tyler had a full day of fun today! We went to gymnastics class and he ran and jumped and flipped and walked on the balance beam (without falling off!) and used the uneven bars. He loves going to gymnastics and I love that wears him out! haha

While still at the community center after gymnastics, we went into the indoor jungle gym and Ty got to play in there a while. The pictures are from the jungle gym. He made some new friends while playing and was very happy. Until we had to leave!

Then we had Happy Meals for lunch and took a quick nap. Well, Tyler got to take a nap. Mommy had to do the driving. Then it was off to school with Miss Emily. Tyler wakes up on Thursday mornings yelling for Miss Emily.

After I picked Tyler up, we stopped and fed Rosebud and her friends some apples. Rosebud is a horse at a farm by our house. There are also some donkeys at the farm. We stop and feed them apples and carrots and they love it! Ty was so excited to see the horse and donkey and to get to share his apples with them.

After this busy day, I hope that Tyler sleeps good tonight!

Pregnancy Update

I had a checkup and the "big" ultrasound last Wednesday. Everything looks great. I have gained a total of 6 pounds so far. The baby weighs 11oz and is 10 inches tall. Tyler was 21 inches when he was born so this baby is already half the length that Ty was! The baby was measuring a little small. I should have been measuring 21 weeks and 2 days at that point but I only measured 19 weeks and 5 days, so a little behind. The doctor was not worried, he said that I was still within "the variables". We are going to do another ultrasound in March to check the growth and we may adjust the due date a little bit at that time if need be.
We did NOT find out the sex of the baby!! The ultrasound technician didn't even look near that area since we didn't want to know. She doesn't like to find out either because then she may slip and say "he" or "she". So, as of now it is still a sup rise! Mike wanted to find out but he let me make the final decision.
The picture is of the baby's profile. I think that the baby looks a lot like Tyler's ultrasound picture.

Tyler went with some of his friends to an indoor inflatable play gym today and had so much fun! He never sat down the entire time we were there. I tried to take a lot of pictures becuase he was having so much fun, but it was hard to catch him still enough. The minute we were in the car to go home, his eyes were closed and he was snoozing!
But apparently, that nap wasn't enough for Tyler. During dinner we were sitting there and all of a sudden we heard a loud thud. I looked over and Tyler had fallen asleep in the middle of eating! Poor guy! He was really tired. He had a long day and just couldn't take anymore. I felt so bad for him being that tired.

Tyler turns 2 tomorrow so we had a few of his friends over to play and have cupcakes. I think that his favorite gift was the basketball hoop from Uncle Andy. He hasn't stopped playing with it yet! He also got some cool clothes from the Huff/ Wiesman family and a Noah's Ark from Aunt Lynn. Mommy's favorite gift was the New York City walking cards for kids! Yeah!!!
Tyler loves blowing out candles so he was excited to get to blow out the candle on his birthday cupcake.

Tyler's pinata. He loved it, especially since it was Dora. But once the candy fell it, he got scared! Olivia was the lucky lady to finally get all the candy to fall out.

Tyler got a package in the mail today for his birthday and was really excited to open it. So, even though it was early and his dad said he had to wait until his birthday, I let him open it today! He got a nice sweatsuit from his friend Lucian who lives in Baltimore. Tyler wanted to put it on right over his clothes he already had on.

I'm not sure why he looks like he is in pain in the one picture, I think I caught him in the middle of saying 'cheese'.

Tyler is learning how to dress himself and he is always so proud when he puts his own clothes on. I never tell him when he has something on backwards or inside out because he is so cute!

Spaghetti Night at the Broughton house

Here is Tyler enjoying one of his favorite, or at least messiest, dinners. When we have spaghetti all clothes come off- well, ok, just Tyler's! It makes for much easier clean up. And after dinner we head straight to the bathtub. This picture was obviously at the beginning of dinner. He usually has spaghetti smeared from his hair to his toes by the time he is done.

Ok, here is our first update. Just so Katy will be happy! haha

Tyler turns 2 next Monday and we are having cake and ice cream to celebrate. Nothing fancy this year :)

Other exciting news in our household is that we will have a new addition to the family coming June 2. No, we aren't getting a puppy! Tyler is going to be a big brother :)

Here is a picture of Ty from yesterday wearing his hat. He found it in his closet and insisted on wearing it all day! (Katy- aren't you proud of me for posting a picture? )
